The US economy is performing well, the loonie is fairly low and emerging markets appear to be strong.
Canada is feeling a pinch from slow growth in major economies, including China, Japan and Russia.
But economic growth remains tepid, according to the Conference Board of Canada.
Bank expects Canada’s economy to grow at a pace of 2.3% in the July-September period.
Expect the Canadian economy to turn in slightly less robust growth in 2011, thanks to a contraction in the second quarter combined with softer growth in the EU and the US, but the economy will pick up in 2012, according to RBC Economics.
