Demonstration north of Woodstock, Ont. was aimed at preventing installation of a valve on the controversial Line 9 pipeline.
The oil-giant says it will focus on the pipeline’s safety in its pitch to the National Energy Board.
Before submissions will even be considered, the public and experts must first apply to the board.
