Explosion at Mexico steel plant kills 5
Nine people are recovering from injuries; cause under investigation.
MEXICO CITY — An explosion has ripped through a steel plant in northern Mexico and the company says at least five people are dead.
At least 9 other people are recovering from injuries suffered in the blast.
The Ternium steel company says three workers died at a hospital in the northern city of Monterrey on July 23 after two died earlier.
The cause of the blast is still being investigated.
Monterrey is Mexico’s third-largest city and a steel manufacturing hub.
