COM DEV wins $65M satellite subsystems deal

Work will be done at its Cambridge and California operations.

CAMBRIDGE, Ont.: COM DEV International Ltd. has landed a contract worth more than $65 million, its largest, to an unnamed customer.

The Cambridge, Ont. manufacturer of space hardware subsystems, is to deliver C, Ku-band and Ka-band multiplexers, switches and microwave components for multiple satellites, which will be part of a global network.

An initial $38 million will cover procurement, engineering and manufacturing activities for the first satellite to be delivered.

The company said work will be ongoing until 2018 at its Cambridge and El Segundo, Calif. facilities.
