TORONTO: Schneider Electric’s Altivar 312 AC variable speed drive improves the energy efficiency of plant machines used in material handling, packaging, food and beverage, mining and pumping applications, and it integrates easily into single-control system architectures.
The global energy management specialist with Canadian offices in Toronto said the drive, available in one to 20 hp and up to 600 V, has the highest overtorque and is the only drive with a remote graphic keypad in its class.
The Altivar 312 comes standard with integrated communication ports for Modbus and CANopen networks and optional cards for CANopen Daisy Chain, DeviceNet, Profibus DP.
Autotuning, multi-loaders and 50 pre-loaded application functions that manage common facility processes simplify setup and installation and a user-friendly interface built into the drive provides intuitive navigation and speed control with the dial as well as local start/stop control.
Options include a remote graphical keypad and Bluetooth capability.
The drive is also fitted with coated cards (IEC 60721-3-3 Classes 3C2 and 3S2) and can withstand temperatures ranging from -10 to 50 degrees C without derating, even when installed side-by-side. Its integrated electro-magnetic compatibility minimizes power disturbances and electrical interference.
