
Emerson completes its $811M Aventics acquisition

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Emerson has completed its almost $811 million ($612 million US) purchase of Aventics, a global manufacturer of smart pneumatics technologies that power machine and factory automation applications.
Emerson, a global technology and engineering company based in St. Louis, Mo., said the acquisition will significantly expand the company’s reach in the growing $13 billion fluid automation market and solidify Emerson’s automation technology presence in Europe.
Aventics’ pneumatic devices incorporate sensing and monitoring capabilities to improve system uptime and performance, enhance safety and optimize energy use.
With central offices in Laatzen, Germany, Aventics has approximately 2,100 employees globally with five manufacturing locations.
