The Kitchener, Ont., publicly owned Canadian brewer of craft beers submitted seven of its Waterloo Brewing brand, winning five golds and two silvers.
Waterloo IPA, Amber, Oatmeal Porter, Vanilla Porter and Grapefruit Radler all took gold, while Waterloo Dark and Pilsner took silver.
Monde Selection, International Institute for Quality Selections, tests and analyses consumer goods from all over the world.
Brick is now authorized to display the organizations quality label that demonstrates its beers were tested and approved by a professional, independent jury panel.
Brick Brewing, the first craft brewer in Canada to be GSFI certified (one of the highest standards for food safety in the world) is opening a new $9 million brewhouse in the summer with full production in October, which Brick says will bring advanced technology to the “crafting and quality” of its beers.
