SNC-Lavalin gets EPC contract for Saudi Arabia asphalt production facility
Project will boost asphalt production capacity to 42 thousand barrels per day.
MONTREAL — SNC-Lavalin has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Saudi Aramco for the expansion of asphalt production facilities at its Ras Tanura Refinery in Saudi Arabia.
The contract, through SNC’s affiliate Saudi Arabian Kentz, will boost asphalt production capacity at the facility from 22 thousand barrels per day to 42 thousand barrels per day.
The project is expected to be completed in 18 months.
SNC will provide engineering and detailed design, procurement, installation, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, necessary for the project completion and plant startup.
