Sheet metal processor gets $365,000 CED funding for productivity

SAGUENAY, Que. — Industrie P.H.D. Inc. has received $365,000 Canada Economic Development (CED) funding for an expansion project.

The company, which specializes in sheet metal processing that performs modelling, cutting and bending, will use the repayable loan to purchase and install digitally controlled production equipment.

The project will allow the Saguenay, Que. company to reate four new full‑time positions. The current project will result in total investments of nearly $900,000.

Industrie P.H.D. Inc. customers include prime contractors such as Rio Tinto Aluminium, Magris Resources and Resolute Forest Products, but also serves original equipment manufacturers and mid-sized companies that export around the world.
