HALIFAX: Seaforth Energy Inc. is acquiring the assets and intellectual property of Entegrity Wind Systems Inc.

Seaforth, a Dartmouth, NS manufacturer of wind turbines and is a wind energy integrator, said the acquisition brings together the two companies’ AOC 15/50 and EW 50 turbines, which collectively represent the world’s largest and longest-standing active fleet in their size class.

“Together with our recent $2-million financing round, this acquisition positions Seaforth Energy and the AOC 15/50 to build on its dominant position in fleet size and proven longevity,” said Jonathan Barry, president of Seaforth Energy.

Seaforth is integrating the common platform shared by the two wind turbines. As part of the project, it’s partnering with service providers in the US and distributors worldwide to support the installed fleet.
