Recochem acquires Wakefield’s DEF assets
H2Blu diesel exhaust fluid will be integrated with Recochem’s Blue Network.
TORONTO — Wakefield Canada is exiting the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) market with the sale of its H2Blu brand and a licence agreement to Recochem.
The Toronto-based manufacturer of products for the automotive and heavy-duty vehicle market said it will focus more on its lubricants business.
No financial details were provided.
Recochem, a manufacturer of chemical and automotive products based in Milton, Ont., said it would add the Wakefiled assets to its DEF Blue Network.
Diesel exhaust fluid is vital to the operation of modern diesel powered equipment.
Recochem said it is committed to expanding the capabilities of the Blue Network through investments in its DEF infrastructure, a key platform in its growth strategy in the Canadian market.
