Mohawk, CRIQ to collaborate on additive manufacturing
Colleges will develop programs in 3D printing for manufacturers in Quebec and Ontario.
QUÉBEC CITY — Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ) and Mohawk College have signed an agreement to establish a Québec-Ontario community of experts specializing in additive manufacturing.
The collaboration aims to introduce a continuing professional development program for workers in companies that plan to incorporate 3D printing into their manufacturing processes.
The plan is to share information and create an R&D program to develop solutions that will encourage adoption of the technology by Québec and Ontario manufacturers.
Mohawk College has developed several additive manufacturing courses, including a 14-hour national course that will now be available to francophone clients in Québec.
The two institutions will also jointly organize periodic seminars.
