
Olymel invests $10M in Quebec poultry plant
Adding 15,000 square-feet to St-Damase facility for a total of 95,000 square feet.

ST-HYACINTHE, Que. — Olymel is investing $10 million in the expansion of its primary poultry processing plant at St-Damase, Que., which includes the installation of an air chilling room.
The meat processing company’s said additional production capacity at its St-Damase plant, which specializes in chicken slaughtering and butchering, is expected to create 10 new jobs.
The plant is adding 15,000 square-feet bringing its total area to more than 95,000 square feet.
The expansion is to be completed in September.
