New CCOHS mobile app accesses health and safety advice

Covers questions and answers on almost 600 topics and safety tips.


HAMILTON — Need useful workplace health and safety advice and information while you’re on the move in the plant or on a work site? There’s an app for that from the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).

It provides instant access, on mobile devices, to the centre’s online fact sheets. You’ll find thousands of questions and answers on almost 600 topics related to the health and well-being from workplace stress and chemical safety, to ergonomics and seasonal safety tips.

The app also provides access to OSH Answers offline in remote areas and job sites, or where wireless connectivity is absent or unreliable.

Its free and available from www.ccohs.ca, the Apple App Store and Google Play for Android devices. A web-based version is available at www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers.

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), based in Hamilton, is Canada’s national resource for the advancement of workplace health and safety.
