On May 8, PLANT and its online sister publication,, hosted the Manufacturing Canada 2014 Conference in Mississauga, Ont., sponsored by the Italian Trade Commission and Machines Italia.

The show featured dialogue from some of Canada’s greatest manufacturing minds including Jayson Myers, CEO of Canadian Manufacturers’ & Exporters; Dave McPhail, CEO, Memex Automation; Rob Hattin, Chairman, Canadian Manufacturers’ & Exporters; Joseph Doria, CEO, Lincoln Electric Canada; and Allan Cosman, CEO, Ferrero Canada Ltd.

The event also hosted breakout sessions on leveraging big data for an efficient shop floor, manufacturing agility and cost-saving and sustainable energy strategies from leaders at 3M Canada, MAPEI, Memex Automation, Alps Welding and CAM Solutions.
