Manac looks at selling truck trailer business
Quebec company is reviewing strategic options.
ST-GEORGES, Que. — Manac Inc. says it’s reviewing strategic options, which could include a sale of the Quebec-based manufacturing company, a merger or another business transaction.
Manac’s stock closed March 27 at $8.74 on the Toronto Stock Exchange, giving the company a market value of about $41.6 million.
The company bills itself as the largest manufacturer of trucking trailers in Canada and a North American leader in specialty trailers such as grain hoppers and logging trailers.
Manac said its operations will be unaffected by the strategic review and there’s no assurance any deal will result.
