Magna to supply vision system for 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee
System works with lane keeping, automatic high beam, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control features.
AURORA, Ont. — Magna International Inc. will supply its EYERIS Generation 3.0 camera system to FCA US for the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the first US-made vehicle to be equipped with the innovative camera technology.
The camera system will also be installed in the redesigned 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.
The EYERIS system builds on the innovative technology features from previous platforms and improves the field of view as well as the camera resolution. As part of a fusion system with radar in the front of the Jeep, the system performs functions related to the vehicles’ lane keeping, automatic high beam, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control features.
The announcement was made at an event for investors and analysts in Toronto.
