Top brands account for more than $45 billion in worldwide sales.

NEW YORK CITY — VinePair, a New York City-based blog dedicated to the world’s best wine, has uncovered the 30 most popular liquor brand and compiled them into a set of interactive infographics.
It’s a pretty huge industry – the world consumer $45 billion worth of the top 30 brand.
Scottish whiskey-maker Johnnie Walker, produced by British booze multinational manufacturer Diageo, took the crown for most consumed, with sales of more than $5.3 billion, followed closely by Smirnoff vodka at $3.4 billion.
Whiskey is also the world’s most popular liquor, with brands including Canadian-made Crown Royal, Chivas Regal, Jack Daniels, Jameson and Jim Beam, accounting for global sales of $17.5 billion. Vodka was second at $10.5 billion, followed by liquers, cognac, rum and tequila.
