ALLISTON, Ont. — Auto parts manufacturer Howa Canada is building a new manufacturing facility in Alliston, Ont. to supply interior trim components for the 2016 Honda Civic built at the nearby Honda assembly plant, creating 40 jobs.
The Ontario government is kicking in a $1 million investment through the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund, which will be used for facility upgrades and the purchase of specialized equipment.
Howa Textile Industry Co. has operations in Asia and the US. The Alliston plant will be the company’s first in Canada.
