CAMBRIDGE, Ont. — Eclipse Automation has been named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies in 2014 for excellence in business performance by Deloitte, CIBC, National Post, Queen’s School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums.

The Best Managed award recognizes Canadian owned and managed companies with revenues over $10 million for sustained growth, financial performance, management practices and the efforts of the entire organization.

The awards committee said Eclipse’s market diversification and with end-to-end integration has been a driving factor behind its rapid expansion. The company also focuses on streamlining internal processes, investing heavily in its employees and keeping communications transparent.

Based in Cambridge, Ont., Eclipse supplies custom automated manufacturing equipment for the energy, health sciences, transportation, mining, industrial and electronics industries. Founded in 2001, the company expanded its operations into the US in 2014, with facilities in North Carolina and California, which employ a combined 42 people. It also has partners in China, Belgium, Ireland and Mexico.
