KITCHENER, Ont. — Clearpath has been named a Silver Winner for its OTTO 1500 self-driving vehicle by the Edison Awards, which recognizes innovation excellence and the development of new products and services.
The ballot of nominees for the Edison Awards was judged by a panel of more than 3,000 leading business executives including past award winners, academics and leaders in the fields of product development, design, engineering, science and medical.

The awards ceremony, which is celebrating its 29th anniversary, are named after Thomas Alva Edison whose inventions, product development methods and contributions to innovation have changed the world. He was responsible for the development of 1,093 patents before his death in 1931.
Clearpath is a Kitchener, Ont.-based developer of self-driving products, currently working with more than 500 brands around the world.
