Brick adds LandShark, Margaritaville to its brand lineup

Exclusive 10-year deal for Canadian rights to the Jimmy Buffett beverages

KITCHENER, Ont. — Brick Brewing has added LandShark and Margaritaville brands for beer, cider and malt based coolers to its beverage line-up with a 10-year deal for exclusive Canadian rights.

The Kitchener, Ont.-based brewery said the agreement includes a further 10-year renewal at Brick’s option.

LandShark Lager, created in collaboration with Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, is a gold medal winner at this year’s North American Beer Awards in the tropical style lager category.

“The strength of these brands, both in the US and internationally, gives us a wonderful opportunity to expand their reach into Canada,” said George Croft, Brick Brewing president and CEO. “This agreement fits perfectly with our strategic direction, allowing us to further utilize our leading edge manufacturing capability and available capacity, while building our branded volume business.”

Brick anticipates Canadian product launches under both the Landshark and Margaritaville brands in spring of 2016.
