Bombardier sells five Q400 NextGen turboprops

Aerospace manufacturer has firm orders for 511 of the shorthaul aircraft.

TORONTO — Bombardier has sold five Q400 NextGen turboprop airliners to an unidentified airline in a deal valued at US$168 million.

The large aircraft designed for short-haul operations seats up to 86 passengers.

The aerospace division of the Montreal-based manufacturer of trains and aircraft
has firm orders for 511 Q400 and Q400 NextGen aircraft.

Worldwide, the aircraft have transported more than 295 million passengers and have logged over 4.7 million flight hours.
