BIOREM partners with Tus-Material to market its ultrafiltration membranes
Market to grow as the quality and quantity of clean water diminishes worldwide.
GUELPH, Ont. — BIOREM Inc. has entered into a strategic partnership with Tus-Material Group to market their ultrafiltration membranes worldwide.
The membranes provide a barrier to water contaminants that include suspended solids and pathogens such as cryptosporidium, E. coli and viruses.
The manufacturer of air emissions controls systems based in Guelph, Ont. says Tus-Material Group membranes offer specific advantages over competitive filtration membranes, including higher productivity, greater strength and ability to treat a wide water quality range. They’re used for filtration of surface water, pre-treatment of seawater for purification using reverse osmosis, and filtration of secondary effluents and industrial water streams for recycling.
“As the quality and quantity of clean water diminishes worldwide, demand for ultrafiltration will continue to grow,” said Derek Webb, president and CE of BIOREM, who estimates the current $3.3 billion will grow to $4.6 billion by 2021.
Tus-Material Group is a subsidiary of the TUS Holdings Group, companies engaged in the water, wastewater, solid waste and renewable energy sectors.
