$6.3M to support Eastern Ontario business development

FedDev Ontario money to boost SMEs’ commercialization efforts.

COBOURG, Ont. — The Northumberland Community Futures Development Corp. (CFDC) is getting $6.3 million to help Eastern Ontario SMEs be more competitive.

The FedDev Ontario money filtered through the Eastern Ontario Development Program will support collaborative projects delivered by the Northumberland CFDC, working with SMEs to integrate cutting-edge processes, commercialize new products and access new markets.

The investment is expected to create 150 jobs and maintain 150 more.

Collaborative Economic Development Projects  will support 45 SMEs and five organizations, and establish 35 partnerships with businesses, not-for-profit organizations or levels of government.
