5N Plus acquires metallic powders manufacturer
AM&M manufactures micron size metallic powders for electronic components.
MONTREAL — 5N Plus Inc. has completed the acquisition of Kanata, Ont.-based AM&M Advanced Machine and Materials Inc.
Financial details of the transaction have not been released.
AM&M manufactures micron size metallic powders for a variety of electronic markets, including solder powders, silver-based powders for high thermal conductivity interfaces, and CIGS powders for thin film solar panels. The intellectual property and processing capabilities developed by AM&M allows for the cost-effective and high-yield production of spherical, low oxygen content powders with uniform particle size.
5N Plus is a producer of specialty metal and chemical products including bismuth, gallium, germanium, indium, selenium and tellurium, inorganic chemicals based on such metals and compound semiconductor wafers. Based in Montreal, it has manufacturing facilities in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
