Quantum Energy sets up Canadian subsidiary for Sask. slate refinery
TEMPE, Ariz. — Quantum Energy Inc. has established a Canadian subsidiary to oversee the construction and operation of a slate refinery in Saskatchewan.
Quantum Energy, a diversified energy holding company based in Tempe, Ariz., said the wholly owned Dominion Energy Processing Group, Inc. will run a 40,000 bpd full slate refinery in Stoughton, Sask., a small municipality 61 kilometres north of Estevan, (population 694).
Energy executive Keith Stemler heads the new subsidiary. He has been involved in multi-billion dollar capital projects for producers such as ExxonMobil, Husky Energy and Suncor over a 35-year career.
No financial details were released.
