FLIR acquires DVTEL security solutions for $92M
Adds enterprise-class security cameras and video management system software capabilities
WILSONVILLE, Ore. — FLIR Systems Inc. has acquired DVTEL Inc., a provider of software and hardware technologies for advanced video surveillance, for $92 million.
DVTEL, based in Ridgefield Park, NJ, develops integrated video management system (VMS) software, advanced video analytics software, visible and thermal security cameras, and related servers and encoders.
FLIR, a manufacturer of sensors, including thermal imaging technology based in Wilsonville, Ore, said the acquisition with its existing FLIR-branded thermal and visible cameras, as well as its Lorex-branded security systems, means it can provide full-spectrum end-to-end security systems.
