Day4 Energy extends solar cell supply deal

Day4 Energy Inc. has extended a supply agreement with Motech Industries Inc., the largest solar cell manufacturer in Taiwan.

BURNABY, BC: Business is picking up for Day4 Energy Inc. and its partners. The Vancouver supplier of photovoltaic products and systems has extended a supply agreement with Motech Industries Inc., the largest solar cell manufacturer in Taiwan.

Motech, a supplier of photovoltaic (PV) products will significantly increase the quantity of multi-crystalline silicon solar cells it supplies to Day4 Energy and its solarSYSTEMS manufacturing partners.

Delivery of the unspecified higher volume is to begin in early January.

Motech recently increased its annual photo voltaic (PV) cell production for 2011 by approximately 700 mega watts.

Day4’s solarSYSTEMS is a franchise partnership program that enables businesses to manufacture, distribute and sell certified DAY4 branded solar modules in their markets.

Vancouver-based Day4 is a developer and manufacturer of photovoltaic products and solutions.
