Do you have to be a great writer to produce your blog? Doesn’t hurt. But if you are deficient in this area and don’t have time to bone up with a writing course or two, keep the following in mind and press on.
• What you say is more important than how you say it. Keep in mind the quality of information is more important than the power of your prose. Let’s face it, there’s lots of information on the web, but truly good information is in short supply.
• Inject some enthusiasm into your blog. You don’t have to be the world’s greatest writer to have a popular blog. If your writing is leaden or boring you will have a very hard time keeping the attention of your readers. Write what you are passionate about.
• Practice and watch your writing improve. The more you write, the better you’ll be. Make a genuine effort to read more. Crack open some fiction in addition to the business publications you peruse sample many types of writing styles.
