Komet Manufacturers Inc., is putting on a good face at the end of a business partnership that accounted for 38 per cent of its sales.

The Blainville, Que.-based furniture maker had an agreement with Rona that lasted for five years.

Komet president and CEO François Nadeau admitted it’ll be “difficult to quickly replace a big client like Rona” but he said the company is hopeful new partnerships with other kitchen cabinet makers will partially offset the loss.

Nadeau said it’s signed new agreements with contractors such as Samcon, Les entreprises Samig, and Habitations Voyer.
