Banner advertising in targeted publications remains a great way to attract traffic to your website, but it’s important to be aware of the most common pricing models.

• Cost per impression: You pay a certain amount per thousand times your ad is seen, not clicked on.

• Cost per click: You pay a certain amount every time your ad is clicked on.

• Cost per lead: You pay a certain amount every time your ad is clicked on and results in someone registering for an offer.

As with any other form of advertising, the key is to select the media that directly addresses your audience.
