PALO ALTO, Calif. — Elon Musk and his gang at Tesla Motors are at it again.
In a video posted to Tesla’s Twitter page, the company shows off a prototype, snake-like, robotic charging arm that plugs itself into one of a Model S without any human assistance.
Yet, the electric car maker’s latest development doesn’t come without a little irony, as Musk has been an outspoken opponent to unsupervised robots and artificial intelligence.
It’s a little unsettling – the snake-like movements of the charging arm are a little too life-like.
The robot finds the charging socket, connects itself with ease and proves that humans are definitely becoming more and more obsolete.
