Solar partnership creates OSM Solarform

OSM Solar Corp. is combining its assets with Solarform Canada Ltd. to create a strategic partnership called OSM Solarform Corp. that will build poly and mono crystalline solar modules for the North American market.

TORONTO: OSM Solar Corp. is combining its assets with Solarform Canada Ltd. to create a strategic partnership called OSM Solarform Corp. that will build poly and mono crystalline solar modules for the North American market.

Solarform Canada will get up to 50% ownership of OSM Solar in Waterloo, Ont. in exchange for assets and “a significant revenue stream.”

The partnership will manufacture the Symphony Energy and Juli New Energy PV photovoltaic (PV) solar panel systems at Solarform’s 75-megawatt Welland, Ont. plant, which has a workforce of 50 employees.

The poly and mono crystalline solar modules from 180 to 310 watts will come in three size formats, and the company said it will also provide custom manufacturing of
“Building Integrated PV” that can be used in lieu of typical windowpanes to produce of solar energy

The partnership company will be pursuing Ontario’s active feed-in-tariff (FIT) program but the combined management team will also be pushing for new business in the US and the Caribbean.
