CAMBRIDGE, Ont.: COM DEV International Ltd. has been awarded an authorization to proceed (ATP) to provide switches, filters and multiplexers for a commercial communications satellite.
The Cambridge, Ont.-based manufacturer of space hardware subsystems said the ATP for the unnamed customer is valued at US$1.8 million and is expected to lead to a full contract worth more than $7 million.
Work will be done at COM DEV’s Cambridge plant for completion by the end of fiscal 2011.
The contract represents the fourth order resulting from an agreement first announced in January under which COM DEV provided equipment pricing for four satellites.
